Lovefilm are great. They used to be awful but have been much better over the last year or so. I normally get discs from my top choices (aorund 8/10 discs). If I rent a tv series I generally keep getting the discs until I've had them all - never left waiting weeks to see the next episode. :)

As long as you don't open up obviously fake file extensions (ie .exe's) and consciously read the comments (when available) you should be fine for the most part on public sites, although that still leaves the possibility of apps being infected (and rampant false positives make it near impossible...
