If you mean on your own personal screen, then maybe not look at the screen(it's not hard to suddenly move your eyes away from the screen), turn volume down while making a noise so you don't hear it as you turn the volume down... again, quite simple. :p
Seen this at pictures in 1982 with a double feature with Cat People and looks as good as it did then with at the time great special effects......rarely has a sequel matched or passed the origional classic ....why cant all the remakes nowdays do that ?

I must be the only person to find Audition one the most over-hyped, lame, boring excuses for a horror film. I mean one slightly shocking scene does not a good film make.
I must say that I love sitting down to the Kevin Smith 'New Jersey' Trilogy - laughter, drama and lightweight stories. Also love sitting down to the Alien Trilogy too (first one to point out the obvious gets a bullet in the head)... Not done the Matrix films all in one go yet - must do that...
