We caught part of Goldeneye on TV the other night. The Eastern European acccents were really tragic. Robbie Coltrane's was surprisingly wince-inducing, but the true horror was Minnie Driver (I think it was her) singing 'Stand by your man' in an appalling Russian accent. It was gobsmackingly bad.

I haven't, no. To be honest, I don't deliberately set out to watch a bad film and looking at the reviews of that one, it's certainly one that I don't ever plan on paying to watch....if it happens to be shown on TV, I may well take a quick gander though...

What I like about this film, and indeed many others of the sci-fi/horror genre, is that future space travel appears quite selective. Unless your British, American or occasionally Australian then you've no chance of getting out there. :D

a true classic. I loved the film when it came out and i've just got the 'what-ever' special edition, shame that AS did not come back for the cast reunion interviews. teen movies today in a similar vain are pathetic and crude, Clueless has the perfect mix and deserves to be shown more often.
