Their original sound has to be credited to Martin Hannet. He totally transformed their sound when they went in the studio. At the time they thought he'd ruined their sound, but now give him the credit he deserves. Guy was a genius.

Is it just the ending that is different between the director's cut [the womb?] and the one shown on Saturday? Nothing before that? Is the ending on the director's cut longer, shorter etc? I'm presuming it's definitely sadder.. so most would recommend the director's cut?

It used to be on Channel 5 about 10 years ago with Jane McDonald. Remember it vaguely. I was about 12 secretly setting the Videoplus to tape it :D

I think his Masquearde mask was meant look like a skeleton. In the stage show his Masquearde mask covered his whole face.

Must have been a different trailer then. But surely all of them referenced the main points of the film, like Scott having to defeat the seven evil exes, that kind of thing. And the poster campaign made it pretty clear what kind of film it was going to be, too.
