I thought it started terribly slowly but picked up nicely once there was a comprehensible plot to follow. It did look (and sound) like it had been edited in a hurry, with scenes ending very suddenly and music cutting off mid-note. Was there pressure to get the film under two-and-a-half hours...

The problem is though, this is still George's baby, and he would have been on hand to stick his beardy jowls in day in, day out...
