I find it interesting that he's decided to split off and create a new studio though. I guess he was just getting bored with how things were going at Gainax (and given stuff like Melody of Oblivion and This Ugly and Beautiful World, I can't blame him really.)

I think Independence Day is more of a disaster of a movie to be honest :D The best is certainly Towering Inferno. And I don't know how Deep Impact can be considered better than Armageddon. :confused:
