I used to really into them until I got into some other banRAB and got bored of them. They have a new CD coming out in May and I heard there's going to be guitar solos which is always something to look forward to. *shrug*

Yeah, on one damn song. John Fahey is great. Ochs was just another Guthrie wannabe and his guitar playing was nothing special. Nick Drake is a HORRIBLE guitarist. And Elliot Smith is good. But nothing amazing, you really overrate him as a guitarist. I got indie pop and twee pop confused...

I personally think Pantera has great albums. But it in my opinion it would have to be between CFH or VDoP. I would go for CFH since the album kicks ass from start to finish. For the guy who said "Reinventing the Steel is the best" you obviously haven't heard there ealier stuff. Thats like saying...

They describe their sound as "A Terran colony being overrun by the Zerg" and I think that's the most accurate description out there. I was expecting it to be some kind of Industrial hybrid focusing heavily on sampling and remixing the game music but it's totally original... and not very good...

That description makes me NOT want to listen to them.

I'm not arguing, just discussing, and it's not semantics IMO. E.g. Band A has 100,000 fans and 1 in every 1000 is a fanboy. So we have 100 fanboys. Band B has 1000 fans and 80 in every 1000 is a fanboy. So we have 80 fans. This is relevant because it might seem like Opeth is particularly fanboy...

fidelity, what are you refering to when you say "better live banRAB"? are you saying better sounding? or better stage show? I think that if you can explain what your going for a little better than maybe oojay and the rest of us can have a better idea whether or not we agree.
