I'd say his drumming is landmark. He's singing/guitar work is subpar to his drumming. I mean, the best song he has is everlong. Most of the others, they'll be forgotten.

I read this and put Modest Mouse on to see if I could discover anything bad enough in their music to merit such a comment. I don't hear anything outlandishly bad at all, the vocals are the only thing I can think that might aggravate people...but then, so might Frank Black or Robert Plant's...

i appreciate any music that has some remnants of musicality; which is why i loathe rap. rap, and especially "gangsta rap" has been nothing but receyled lyrics and catch phrases, i.e. snoop dogg's "izzles", and lil jon's "ok"'s, "what"'s, and "yeah"'s. all thy seem to rap about is ho's, bitches...

Ibe album I truly, got into last night was one of the quietest, most arabient albums i have - The Long Walk Home by Peter Gabriel - his soundtrack to the movie Rabbit Proof Fence - really love the way this album swells in sound and then subsides, and the recurring themes musically and sonically...

Pixies did not start grunge. It had already started in Seattle when the Pixies formed (see Deep Six compilation). The only influence the Pixies really had on grunge was through Nirvana's adaption of quiet-loud dynamics.

i think it will be fun.....and i suppose the theme is open to interpretation between the pairs....as whether you send scary arabient sounRABcapes or just creepy topics or even just fun monster music
