It might not be a film, I think it was actually a musical based on Jeff Buckley's life. They were thinking of getting Heath Ledger to do it, but then he passed away, so there's been an idea for Robert Pattinson to to be him, since he's also a 'musician' and all.... Not sure if they've scrapped...
