Personally I don't think any of them play with the passion of their slower counterparts, however for me it has to be Steve Vai. His work with Zappa is some of my favourite guitar stuff, simply because of how ****ing cool it is.

Thanks :D Chiptunes wasn't what I did most of (it was usually something more arabitious), but it's fun in that it's very quick and that it's a minimalist challenge, f.ex here to make a song with a kick, hat, bassdrum and a single sine wave. And of course you gotta love the old-school sound...
