It could be a number of things,These vehicles have a shut down built into computer system,any thing computer related that will cause damage will shut it down.Check for fuel,spark at the plugs.

Have it scanned it probably needs sensor in rear differential.

I have found the best way is to drop front of engine cradle to give room to remove after all unhooked.

It could be converter problem like #2 said,I would like to know if you aer trying to full throttle in park or neutral ,because it might be the rev limiter comming into play.
