Yes, DON'T turn it on. Disassemble it, dry each and everything with a hair dryer, clean the contacts with a cotton bud dipped in denatured alcohol, reassemble it and then turn it on. I hate to say this but if it was charging at the time, the phone is a lost cause. Good Luck m8.
