The PM directed episode "Identity Crisis" is apprently a kind of Prisoner tribute . In various shots you can see McGhooan wearing the same style of trainers that he did throughout The Prisoner. There are other little bits of trivia but my treasured Columbo Phile book is out of reach at the moment.

i do wonder if they might make a 3D version in time for the 2nd part next year....would be a good way to make some more cash and allow for a fully 3D bluray release of them both.... personally i hope not as i hate fake 3D like this. Either film it in 3D or dont bother!

I know I do. :D I first saw it when I was about 13 when Sci-Fi had the movie rights.. and was absolutely taken aback. Went out and bought the old 3-disc trilogy and watched back to back. Absolutely fantastic and I've since double dipped and bought the 4-disc box set :D
