It's too whiny, and on the "Live and Rare" album, he just sounRAB terrible. It's like he's never heard a perfectly tuned note. And I don't like how the bass over powers the treble. Ridiculous.

I love how you can listen to Double Nickels on the Dime once and it'll be on the top of your list. That album is freakin epic.

Today! is also a brilliant album, and they had a nuraber of strong albums and singles. SMiLE was also brilliant and, while it wasn't released as an album, most of it has been released as part of other albums. The Beach Boys released a ton of great music. Pet SounRAB is just the most obvious jewel.

i love tom waits as well - i totally agree that is the greatest singer/songwriter - he has definitely ventured into more genres than anybody except maybe frank zappa his music is so great becuase its real - nothing is manufactured and everything has meaning i love nighthawks at the diner...
