well here is hopeing they put in a minimum global upload speed of 11KBs, to stop this kind of nonsense. thats why i used to like burst, that had that feature in it.

The series was filmed in 1982 and not 1980 as you say. The proof is the copyriight datestamp on the end of the 5-part series episodes. MCMLXXXII = 1982.

The first bit (up to [06:33:02]) indicates some sort of file system error, not a communication error. Basically it could not write the results to the disk, presumably because it thought the file was corrupt. Rather than send bad results back to the source it deleted them.
