lol yea. would have been a short series. part of what made it great was how few times it was actually used. they didnt ruin it by overusing it.

While I can't fault the style of music used in the show, Kanno and the Seatbelts more often than not liberally swiped from other existing songs. Granted, there's plenty of anime soundtracks that swipe from existing sources, but there are plenty of US composers that could do just as good a job...

the way i see it is: they got older and changed and so did their music. personally, i dont listen to them as much as i used to, in fact i probably havent listenned to anything by them in a year or so. but i have no problems with any of their music. its just not my favorite.

It's not so much that it's bad , there's just nothing on it you'll remeraber listening to half an hour later. It's just totally devoid of any ideas. Like Sonic Youth make Sonic Youth type noises but forget to write any songs.

Spiritualized or Massive Attack are great choices for me. If electronic is fine, then The Orb are one of my favorites. I have a soft spot for the Wildhearts too :p:. Currently undecided, but I'll choose soon! I might have forgotten something as well.

I get bored by Mogwai. I don't know what it is. I'm fine listening to Stereolab, GoRABpeed, Explosions, Sigur Ros etc but they are just so ****ing comatose. I think everyone neeRAB a little dose of Mercury Rev now and then. =)

I think it's because people love to get all melodramatic with it. It's so easy to close your eyes and bellow out the crescendo of each and every verse. Even I've been guilty of that.
