My apologies, I should not judge a show off just a few episodes. I don't think it bothered me as much that it didn't really follow SG-1, though, as that it was just kind of boring to me. Of course, I've only see three episodes out of twenty-something so my opinion of the show is limited.

This is how I've felt about the past few seasons, Marge especially. Kavner has been hamming all her lines so badly, and I guess she thinks it sounds funny, but it actually sounds annoying. Not to mention Homer takes every chance he can lately to speak in his raspy voice. None of them act anymore.
