    The character was fine in the book. She was a rock for the family and had amusing moments without being reduced to a one dimensional slapstick comedy figure. The character as presented in the film is totally unrecognisable from the character in the book. Jackson completely wasted Sarandon.

    Hypoglycemia can cause sudden hunger pangs and night chills. I had night chills similar to your's just before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. (no hunger pangs tho)
