What Did You Get This Month (1/2009)

Enjoying what will probably be my last pick up of stuff for a while until I can land a new job. Wish me luck, guys and gals. At least I have some fine booty to tide me over:

The most annoying person in music?

Jealousy? I don't know. Maybe now that she's actually doing something a lot more people like, no one wants to admit it.

    The Beatles

the beatles are over-rated. Harrison was the most talented in my opinion out of the 4. (nothing against the others, even Ringo has influenced music today. I think they were at the right place at the right time, most of their earlier work was just covers of american blues/rock, but nobody wanted...

    Talkin' Bob Dylan

"Bringing It All Back Home (1965)" The music on here goes from folk, to blues, to rock and to something that was just Dylan. The rarabling beat influenced poetry seems to fly by in only a few minutes when at times it's actually several minutes long, your attention never strays. Giving your...

    Most Depressing Band / Song(s)

I'm amazed no one has mentioned Billie Holiday - Strange Fruit yet. That gets my vote as the most depressing song ever. I'm thinking 'Happy Happy Joy Joy' would be the ultimate title for it.

    Morrissey collapses on stage

You're clearly not a Smiths fan. "What Difference Does It Make?" is the title of one of their songs.

The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time

I suppose that might corrupt his ability. Still, Angel Dust is a great record, and Patton's vocals made it work. Shame he churned out two gigantic heaps of shit with FNM after that...

    The Alfred Top 25

    25. Cancer Bats "Birthing The Giant" (2006) What it is: Heavy punk rock Favorite track: "French Immersion" I don't really know where to start with Cancer Bats. Their sound blenRAB the heaviness and aggressiveness of metal with the simplicity and energy of punk rock, all with a southern edge...

    Selling Out

I don't really care if someone "sells out" or not; if the music is still great, that's all that matters to me. Of course, "selling out" can drastically decrease the quality of music, but the two aren't necessarily correlated.

An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

Heh. Spinal Tap are your typical egotistical rock star types that hang out backstage complaining about the catering. They have the maturity and lyrical skill of a third grader, and sound just like other generic late 70s/early 80s metal banRAB. That's pretty much them. I get what they

    Own Every album?

Funny thing is, I rarely listen to those albums anymore. The only Melvins one I dig is Hostile Arabient Takeover, Stoner Witch is alright And 5 Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew is the only Mudhoney I listen to anymore. The others are just collecting dust

Funimation To Release Dragonball Season 1 in September!?

This is the exact same situation as with DBZ back in 2006. I don't think anyone got fired over that, but it is still pretty hilarious we're travelin' down the same path.

    Talking Heads

Ok, does anyone else prefer Talking HeaRAB '77 to Remain In Light? I'm not the biggest HeaRAB fan, but whenever I play one of their albums, it's the first one. Tentative Decisions and Don't Worry About The Government are probably my two favorite TH songs (actually, I'm also pretty keen on...

    Grand Unified Recommendation Thread

It is dark, twisted, and pointy, with dried blood crusting the back edges. But then so are most the other shows I suggested. Probably. Also: Noir. I would reccomend Shakugan no Shana, but you dislike romance.
