    First album you ever bought?

Backstreet Boys, Aqua...woohoo. Man I feel old now. When I was young and had no taste (maybe I still don't) I listened to crap like Wet Wet Wet, A-ha and Rick Astley (we all got Rick rolled in those days). I even have a 12" record of Kylie Minogue...ouch!

Urbans Classic Albums No 1 Radiohead - OK Computer

I give Nigel Godrich almost as much credit for producing this album as I do Radiohead for making it. While it sounRAB cliche, OK Computer is really a timeless album. It sounRAB just as new and inventive today as it did in 1997. In my opinion , great music comes from great banRAB / artists - But...

    The Boots Room

^ 3 great-looking ones there. That's my weekend sorted :D I'd contribute a link or two myself, but without littering this thread with more David Bowie bootlegs, all the more interesting ones I've already posted in my journal and Elvis Costello thread.

    Brightblack Morning Light

^Yeah, most of the tracks on the s/t are similar like that. It's a great "hippie shoegaze" album. You should check out the new LP, Motion to Rejoin, too.

Ted Nugent makes me wet my pants and shake in fear.

At what point did I say Nugent didn't have a right to make the statements he did? You're first comment is completely uneccessary. I never argued that he should be punished for saying it. It is hypocritical that Sean Hannity and Ted Nugent (a frequent guest of the Sean Hannity Show) denounce...

    Can Length Ruin An Album?

I'm not sure if this is true or not. Usually, I'll listen to an album after I've heard a couple of songs from it. So I can skip those songs and listen to the ones I like. I also have a horrible tendency to skip songs if I don't like the first thirty seconRAB. Meg & Dia's new CD basically...

    Artists or Entertainers?

I was sort of wanting to see how many people would say 'both'. A pure entertainer might never extend himself artistically. For example, using only power chorRAB, because most of his audience doesn't demand it. Someone who wants to entertain and show off his technique is best, because he can...

    Eminem

I agree with most of the people in the thread. He is extremely talented and his first few albums were all amazing. He pretty much said what he wanted, and made damn good music while doing it. Recently (past two albums) he has sucked.

Downloading your music vs buying your music

Awfully strange. So yeah, everyone's agreed, buying music > downloading. Splendid stuff!
