The Indiana Jones 4 Movie APPRECITION Thread

Just seen it about 30mins ago and I loved every minute of it. I didnt find any problems with at all and whats wrong with Indy getting in the fridge as it was made of lead and makes perfect sense to me. I also did not have a problem with the alien/spaceship part either. The film is not meant to...

    Favourite Black and White Movie

Yep, apparently it's a big hit over in China. I had to import my copy from Korea. Sometimes you can catch it on TCM. I can't believe I forgot Rebecca! One of my absolute favourite films!

    Charlie's Angels Full Throttle

It was much better than I expected it to be, especially with the slating it's got from all the film critics.

What ELSE could be causing my afternoon crashes?

    1) Have you actually monitored your blood sugar during these episodes? 2) Do you have any caffeine or other stimulants in the morning?

A thread for people who don't think Star Wars is that good.

I'm a massive Star Wars fan, and I don't have a problem with it either. It's a huge cultural thing, and a massively influential series of films. If I didn't get what the fuss was about, I'd want to know if I were alone too. So.. The Matrix. what's the point of that, then? ;)

    Terminator 3

So is Arnie in this one again? Those poor makeup people will really have their work cut out to make him look the same as he did last time... ;) looking forward to the film though.........

What is your saddest movie scene?

The ending in "The Boy with the Striped Pyjamas" - very powerful indeed.

'The Duchess' starring Keira Knightley (2008).

Its very much a film about the role of women in the upper classes back in the time of Georgiana. It's a sad film but I wouldn't class the ending as entirely sad exactly. It's a little more compliated than that. One thing does annoy me though, the historical accuracy is not particlarly good...

Strictness on age - Saw 3??

Maybe my question was a bit stupid, but aren't they sometimes more relaxed on some films than others about how old people are?

    More Drama @ PassThePopcorn

It sounds like its from Office Space, but that might've been inspired by some urban myth, i don't know. Also, while I'm 100% never going to donate to PtP in the future (would never have either way), I don't see why I should want to walk away from my account. It's close to being disabled...

How many films have you seen in the cinema so far this year?

Hot Fuzz Pan's Labyrinth The Illusionist Mr Bean's Holiday 4. Is that all?

The Omega Man 1971 Charlton Heston

"The Last Man on Earth" follows the book reasonably closely. "The Omega Man" is damaged by becoming an action movie halfway through and "I Am Legend" should've been called "Invasion of the Point Missers".:)

    Favourite Musicals

I don't think Chicago is underated by fans of musicals but it may be by other people not because it isn't good but because of unfamiliarity. The other films have been around for decades. Many people grew up with them so are familiar with them. I'm sure you could list a lot of non-musical films...
