Music Banter Hall Of Fame: Nominations Thread

Next shoe-in. :) I think Jimmy deserves his place in the HoF, he is hugely over-rated though.

Full CD Just Completed! Check out my band.

I noticed this site and it seemed like a cool place so I figured I would post a link to my band called Woodfish. We just finished our first CD. The concept is to write some cool bass heavy stuff and still keep a songwriting perspective on things. We're hoping to make some music that both...

What Is Your Definition Of A "Sell Out"?

I don't know if the first part is true but the second part is wrong. If by 'underground community' you mean late-80s punk, well, Green Day was not respected by any underground community that I knew of. They were just another punk band who dyed their hair and sang in a fake vaguely Brit accent...

EPs that are really F*cking awesome

Self-titled EP from Scratch Acid that predated most other post-hardcore. Stereolab's Crurab Duck -- their first collaboration with producer Steven Stapleton (of Nurse With Wound fame). Debut EP from the Minutemen. Released as an LP but seeing as it's all of 16 minutes long I contest this.

    Worst music critics

No, I despise them because they have an undeserved sense of self worth, or else they wouldn't expect to get paid to be stupid, closed minded c*ntbags. Actually, it does, most people who do it for free do it a hell of a lot better than people who don't. Mainly because the internet can actually...

    Metal/Folk Metal Crew V.NewArkona

Russia. yeah the guitars didn't really come through very well but it was just a youtube video so the overall sound quality probably wasn't top notch to begin with. I'll give it another listen when the album comes out.

    Beastie Boys: Paul's Boutique

I think Check Your Head is when they went more Rock then they were in the past. I mean, they had a Punk (or very similar sounding to Punk) song on there. But it's a great album too, it's one of the three albums i've fully listened to by them (Licensed to Ill, Paul's Boutique, and it), and you're...

    Was Ringo A Crap Drummer.

Oh, I see. Well, whether he wrote them or not, I've never really felt any compulsion to plug my ears when one of Ringo's songs came on.
