Anime Sub or Dub?: The debate starts over...

I will only say this once. I hate it when VA's force themselves to try and sound like the original character...when dubbing that is  I was a bit disappointed at Shinchan's dubbed voice. I know the seiyuu for Shinchan was a woman but this dubbed version, the VA is just attempting to sound...

    David Aurora

He's an Australian artist from Queensland, and has to be one of the better ones. I'd say that his music is perhaps a style of rock music similar to Silverchair and Powderfinger. So its pretty light. www.myspace.com/davidauroramusic Sadly, his album hasn't been released yet, and you can only...

Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Looks like the Geass manga may have ended, with Charles getting to fight in a mecha that looks like the Burger King. A 10 25 date seems to appear, but no mention of a next time...maybe a brief hiatus or it's going elsewhere.

I'd never describe them as "bone crushing heaviness" more like "tough guy breakdowns"

    The Metal Education Thread

A fellow Dream Theater fan. Welcome to rab. :) Yeah I agree you should listen to Megadeth. They're amazing- one of my favourite banRAB. Pantera are also good, and you should have a listen to early Metallica.

The Band w/ the biggest impact

Tie between Zeppelin and SAbbath. The Beatles come in pretty close though, also. PLus, it sorta depenRAB....because they're different types of music. They all had big impacts in their genre...for exapmle the pistols were a huge punk band and so forth.

    Album Wars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not really a big fan of noise rock (Japanoise being an exception) but SY really do the wall of noise thing right. I don't agree with that at all. Doolittle is more diverse I agree but eh, I don't think that makes it the better album. In Through the Out Door is more diverse than Zeppelin...

Someone please explain the appeal of RATM?

Extreme Noise Terror were using two distinctly different vocalists a long time ago, and I don't think I am remaining ignorant. I also have a friend who knows so much more than me, he's 40 and still regulary goes to gigs and he thinks NILE are awful too. The whole let's go as fast as we can has...

    John Entwistle or Flea?

Oh I def do too, but I much prefer the album art from the first. Freaky Styley and Uplift Mofo are two of my all-time favorite albums. Although I prefer Les Claypool over "the squarepusher"... :p:

Best British band of the 90's

Alright, my bad. Reading over people's posts, I thought this was about banRAB that emerged first (released stuff) in the 90s - like most of the banRAB mentioned here. For example Blur, Oasis, Radiohead, Menswear, Curve, Stereophonics, Spiritualized, Super furry animals .. I see now that some of...
