    Guilty Pleasures...

^^^^ 90125 was the first YES album I heard and I still love it. What a culture shock it was when I heard their early stuff-which I like too. I do need to get more of their stuff. I only have CLOSE TO THE EDGE and TORMATO from their 70's output.

    Flobots - Fight With Tools

I didn't know where to put this, but I need music help.

You should definitely check out 7 SeconRAB. Their sound was a pretty big influence on the pop punk sound that you're describing. Also, give a listen to the first Circle Jerks album Group Sex.

The Official 'Create Your Ultimate Band' Thread

Sonic Youth + Jim O'Rourke is about as good as it gets. Maybe that's why Murray Street is such a good album.

    50 Greatest Bands

I'm not arguing about whether they were one of the first jam banRAB, I'm arguing whether or not they were one of the first jam banRAB, I'm arguing that they were made more complicated improvised music than any other band at the time. Which you haven't conceded. Or at least haven't appeared to...

Ponyo to open on over 800 theaters.

Wow. Usually when an anime movie opens in MD, we get one, maybe two, theaters in the area, either an arthouse or Arundel Mills Muvico theater. Any other spots are in DC or Pennsylvania. Not so here with Ponyo. We've got 9 theaters here in Maryland playing the movie, and in pretty popular areas...

    Cancelling Lovefilm

I used Lovefilm for a while and the service was superb. I always got a film from the top 3 of my list, and turnaround was about 3 days. Tried blockbuster a month or so ago, and the turnaround was much slower, with films half way down the list being sent. Think it's down to pot luck!

    The Forgotten *Spoilers*

It did remind me of Dreamcatcher. But i think the thing that lets both films down is that the story lines are quite good up until a point then you feel they just get bored and throw in some aliens to end the film/story (sorry Stephen King, but it is a naff ending in Dreamcatcher - and the film...

Do you think it's possible to support troops in Iraq, but not support their mission?

Fallacy, Complex Question (Tying). That's not true. The mission is beyond our control, but we can support the funding that will ensure that our boys have the best possible chance of surviving. You're trying to tie the money for the mission and the money spent to keep them alive together. It...
