I avoided the really cheap options and went for the very reasonaby priced ION iTT 05. Easy to set up and simple, up-to-date software. I've tried digitizing a few albums and the results are pretty good. Available at a bargaintastic

I've heard of Gianna Nannini, but I havent been in Italy for about 4 years now so I'm a bit off on the Italian music front. I mostly just listen to older Italian musicians, but I love Fabrizio De Andre's prog album.
