well I watched it last night. I didnt read the book.
I enjoyed it - thought it was good but not excellent. It was a bit dull in parts but overall was good.
You have to really pay attention/concentrate to it all though because if you miss something or dont understand it then your wondering whats...

Did anyone see this film? it was a small film and years old but just thought as it started Chris Eccleston (Dr Who) some people may of got it out on Video or something.

If you want odd sounding music, check out The Paper Chase. Their CD, "God Bless Your Black Heart" can be tough to find, but its definitly different. Very disonant, but it works.

I was under the impression though that 'The Thing' was going to be done like a TV series, like the 'The Shining'.? It was some time back since I heard this though. I hope they never remake it as a movie.
