aww I remeraber Blue. I thought they were a pretty different type of boyband, a lot more funky and less corny than the others. my first show was Phish. I was hooked [pun intended] and all I wanted to do was discover more music and go to more shows.

I mostly agree with that post on Elvis... I think alot of what distinguished him was mass appeal and his persona, perhaps his onstage presence. Musically he ran out of gas, so he made the switch to movies... it's a no brainer that he wasn't the greatest musical influence this world has ever seen...

Yeah punk kind of killed off their momentum. They were considered yesterdays news just a year after their debut came out. Which is a shame because it's full of fast paced r&b much in the same vein as the New York Dolls only with a few more noRAB to the past and better musicianship.

I disagree, I think his voice may be somewhat of an acquired taste. I can understand why people wouldn't like it. If you'd like a more traditional pick out of me: Sigur Ros - Svefn-g-englar There's absolutely nothing like it. It's a perfect falsetto. Way ahead of its time.

I definitely agree. But I don't particularly like any of them, to the point of having more than 5 songs in iTunes.

That's the same thing I thought. It seems that Britain puts more importance on charts and mainstream music than America does, because most people I know (and not just people who listen to a lot of Indie) could care less what's going on in our charts.

Meh, how much can you really say in a song anyway? You can say that war sucks, capitalism sucks, that dying needlessly for your country sucks, but if you try to put a manifesto in the form of a song you end up with something hopelessly preachy where the lyrics detract from the music.

Think this is one of the coolest songs ever? Don't take it seriously, just listen to it and enjoy.
