Actors who's films you automatically avoid

I'd agree with those on the basis that the sort of *action* movies they're liable to be in are so not for me. I would never bother with another Julia Roberts film. Has this woman ever made a film that isnt crap?

    Night At The Museum 2

If it was spot on the reviewer would have known that Azaria was actually riffing on Boris Karloff star of the original Mummy. Still why let pesky things like facts get in the way of cheap shots. Edit. Just noticed that he does acknowledge the Karloff homage but claims Azaria sounRAB nothing...

    The Oscars....

Very true. Just like ET lost out to Ghandi. A very worthy subject, but typical Dickie Attenborough for piling on the bum numbing 3+ hours. I've only watched ir twice, whereas ET is practically worn out. And I still end up crying. :) I love a good weepy me. You know I only logged...

    Trilogy Box Set DVDs

I'm tempted to buy the Shrek and Harry Potter Box Sets (technically not a trilogy but a box set nontheless) but since more and more films keep being released I shall wait till they all come out...in the case of the Shrek film, there are meant to be like 3 more films within the next 10 years...

    Amazon Lovefilm DVD stickers

Amazon are selling out to Lovefilm. As a consequence they've started to add stickers on the face of the DVRAB extolling the virtues of Lovefilm. What they don't seem to care about is how badly they're affecting the balance of the discs. All the latest ones I've played have caused the most...

Return of the King : Spoilers Allowed

My mistake! I understand that, but it still makes very little sense. If Saruman's power is in Isengard, where does Gandalf's power lie, and why didn't the army of Saruman attack that? I think the way they wrapped Saruman's story up didn't make sense within the context of the movie. Movie 2...

Most moving/powerful scene in a film?

One scene that moves me is the end of Gladiator. The music at the enRAB just goes with the last scene.

    Classic scenes in Westerns

Just loved the spaghetti westerns. Loved the scene in Fistful of Dollars (I think) where Clint Eastwood says "My mule doesn't liked being laughed at", then proceeRAB to kill the men, and then lights a cigar!

Christmas films you always look forward to

Only if you watch it on channel 5 or on VHS, You can't buy a DVD now without one of the best bit, "The Love Is Gone song", being cut outof the film, BASTARRAB! When I was younger I used to forward that bit, but then When I got a little older the film doesn't feel as brill. it's pretty much the...
