    Grand Designs new series.....

I thought the concept of the build was really clever, but I did find the idea of fitting the carpets very, very odd. Why would anyone take the risk of damage to their flooring, as frankly a good team of carpet fitters could have done the entire floorspace in a few hours?. Although a clever...

    New open source client!

Yo, check it out- a new open source client based on LimeWire's source just came out. I hear these guys are pretty good Java developers and are going to try to make open Gnutella standards the way of the future. (kinda like LimeWire, hmm) anyways, the software is cool and it doesnt have any...

    Star Trek

I went to see it this afternoon and thought it was great. I agree with all of you who praised Keith Urban as Bones. He had the nuances just right, as did Zachary Quinto as Spock. All of them were good but these two were outstanding.

    70's British Horror.

If you like Vincent Price and you can play R1 you should check out the Midnite Movies label which started with MGM releasing titles from their own archive aswell as the likes of AIP and Amicus and Fox now seem to be in charge of it and they have continued the tradition. All of the classic AIP...

Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

Yes, having seen the ad again I think its one to redeem at certain newsagents throughout the week. Several papers gave away similar courses last year. Must admit I'm not sure how much of an attraction these will be compared to the usual DVRAB etc. Its a bit too specific to appeal to the masses...

Ten things that only happen on TV

Yes, and new characters arriving in a soap can instantly find well-paid jobs in Albert Square or suchlike, usually with the help of a relative. I certainly wouldn't find a job for any of my relatives.:DAnd with newspapers (often the Evening Standard in dramas set in London) they have the correct...

    F-R-I-E-N-D-S, on Blu-ray?

I don't see why you would want this type of show on Blu-ray to be honest. A big epic movie or a tv show which has a lot of special effects, yes I can see the need for that in HD. But a show where the cast spend most their time sitting on a sofa in a coffee shop, seems a bit ott in my...
