Isn't that slightly making the mistake of making the top gear team look like they are all the same person? I am not being contrary, just saying. Clarkson is an arrogant know-it-all loudmouth (I DO enjoy watching him in TG tho :p) while James May is none of the above. James would be very...

I hate extra narrow widescreen letterbox Aspect Ratio: 2.35:1

I don't get this idea that it's "what the director wanted" (2.35:1 or wider) I very much doubt any director "wanted" his/her film to be viewed on even a 52" TV in someones home, never mind on the average TV set screen size with icky sound system. I would say it's more likely the director was...

    Shawshank Redemption

I really like this film too, but I'm a Stephen King fan and so I enjoy most of the better films that are based on his novels. I'd also say that I watch all sorts of different films.

Films you've only watched/would watch for the actors alone.

On a similar note but slightly off topic, you should have seen the thread for Luther. The first page was filled with posters (mostly female) watching because Idris Elba (The Wire) was in it. After that it was pretty comical as the show was ripped to shreaRAB :D

    Can anyone recommend...

Seen Notting Hill and Pretty Woman. I'm not fussed on either but would class them as romantic comedies. I love Dirty Dancing though. I'm wanting something different and not formulaic.

F***ing fools. They didn't give it a chance, and it DID have potential.

Which shows will get axed next year?

Torchwood is an odd choice, given how successful Children of Earth was and the fact that they have just started a funding partnership with Starz making it a joint UK and US venture. Plus the new series only starts filming in the New Year.
