It's easily my favourite Hitchcock film, and in my top ten of all movies! I love the way in which Grace Kelly is introduced into the film.

Possibly, although I'd have thought that the target audience (mid-teen) wouldn't have picked up on it. Perhaps you're right, his style just made that side of the book show up more than it did when I first read it.
