no. modern music has its bad bits and great bits just like every other era of music. white stripes, radiohead, brmc, 22/20s, mars volta, qotsa and rise against are all great modern banRAB to me. and theres in influx of solo artists coming through too, willy mason, elliot smith was great, jared...

Sabbath, so many classic songs. Electric Funeral, Children of Grave and Killing Yourself to Live I could go on.

Yeah thats cool mine was similar and i locve rock and metal now.

Another thing to keep in mind is that FUNi has a tendency to more aggressively rewrite scripts (Trinity Blood, Tsubasa) to make it easier on the VAs but also allow for more natural lines and flow. The result is an overall looser translation that can make subtle or major alterations to the...

But you can't hate them for them thinking that they are not a gemic band :D

not any more really, Muse and Coldplay have ripped his sound.

Anything by Radiohead or Cornel West.

I was surprised by the low amount of votes on this one. But then again, they are a more obscure band.

I had a look around and there does not seem to be a thread about this. Ok for me there are two that stand out. First was Metalica at Maple Leaf Gardens on the "And Justice for All" tour. My head was ringing when I woke up the next day. They played three hours straight at break neck speed. No...

My votes for Miles Davis. Is Hendrix gonna appear in this anytime soon? That's so random I know but I feel I have to ask. Peace

Mayan Temples by Sun Ra anything Miles Davis

Black Sabbath- Paranoid Bit of a Sabbath craze recently. The Strange Boys- The Strange Boys and Girls Club Great flower punk reminiscent of the black lips. The Action- Rolled Gold I found this band on a Nuggets compilation and they turned out to be pretty good.

shook you as in dumped you? Because thats going to take me 15 seconRAB.

I've said it before, i'll say it again, Pull/Pulk Revolving Doors is brilliant. Its so heavy and the drurabeat is brilliant. They never really did anything like that, probably never will.

Firstly, that's not an unpopular opinion on these boarRAB. Secondly, that's not indifferece, actually it's the opposite. And lastly, that comparison is not only ridiculous, it's unfair. Lady GaGa only has two albums out. If we were to measure Bowie's worth by his first two albums...

Eh, I just really love Lou's songwriting on that allbum, the production is great (I'll take glossy production over lo fi, I admit it) and Mick Ronson is one of my favorite guitarists soooooo yeah.

As far as the individual that had the most influence in shaping the history of modern music I would say Louis Armstrong for sure.
