I usually like this kind of movie, where you have to work out what's going on, - e.g. Mulholland Drive, lost Highway, Primer, Memento - but TBH, with Donnie Darko I couldn't be bothered. For some reason it didn't grip me. Maybe I'll give it another go. (I'm currently building up the stamina to...

Yesterday's Observer contained a DVD called Beginnings, published by the BFI which included 5 short films made by directors who were just starting out but are now household names. It included films from Ken Russell, Ridley Scott, Shane Meadows and Gurinder Chadha. There is a continuation of the...

Bats on a plane?

Can't wait for FD 4 - I hate gore-fests like Saw but love the Final Destination trio for a bit of light 'oh god NO!' :p

Thanks. :)

This is as opposed to having seen a movie 'fresh' and then coming out thinking it was utter rubbish. I've just ordered 'A Sound of Thunder' thru Play, mainly because I'm interested in the concept, but I kinda know it's gonna be rubbish because of the reviews at the time. This was in development...

How The West Was Won looks astonishing too.

I quite like the 'Search' button under each post, that will find all posts by that user

I was just wondering if its possible to be sued over downloading porn from a p2p program? Im not talking about kiddy porn or any of that stupid stuff, but just regular porn.

We'll find out in a big way in about 35 mins, I think :D

I don't see anything wrong with it as I do it all the time. I have seen the top 10 box office films in the U.K and U.S over the last couple of weeks in my own home and didn't cost me a penny and didn't have to put up with the hassle that comes with watching a film at the cinema as well...

Disney's Beauty and the Beast - when the beast has died and the petal falls, then he comes alive again - brilliant stirring music and imagery - even listening to the soundtrack gets me blubbing!

True about that. Ditto mate. Because I see your post after me so i taught that's for me.

Although it's not a great film IMO, Pirates of the Carribean at WorlRAB End is the most impressive blu-ray I've seen so far. Some of the scenes are breathtaking, almost to the extent that you feel they had blu-ray in mind when they were filming them. The one film that I'm looking forward too...

I broke my ankle on October 10, 2008, I had surgery on October 23, 2008. I have a hard cast on now. I paid for a trip to Las Vegas sometime ago. The trip takes place on December 5, 2008 and I will return on December 8. Can I travel by plane in my condition?

So awesome, he had to post 3 times. :naughty:

Did they? Oh, I don't remember being asked in your survey. Anyway, another discussion for another day. ;) Another film where the "baddies" arguably come out on top is Spartacus. Mind you, the human spirit is shown to come out on top, even if Crassus does slaughter the rebels in the end. Yet...
