War of the Worlds - review

Did anyone catch the 1953 movie on C5 Saturday? Having seen the Spielberg last Thursday it was an interesting comparison. The major difference I saw in the two storylines was that in Spielberg's version it is true to the novel in that the aliens (martians?) died after drinking human blood and...

Your FAVOURITE christmas movies of all time thread.

There are only two christmas films I watch every year at that time: Scrooge (1951) and It's A Wonderful Life. But, must admit I also like One Magic Christmas starring Mary Steenburgen. The plot is loosely based on It's A Wonderful Life as well. I have a copy on DVD, but I bet it's on...

Alice in wonderland- TIM BURTON. MARCH 5TH.

I am a HUGE Tim Burton and Johnny Depp fan. But I came away... slightly disappointed, and lacking in things to say. My only problem is that it was just too productionised. I miss his good ol' personal films like "Edward ScissorhanRAB". It was just too blockbuster.

    Some technical questions about usenet

    1) I'm pretty sure it's not the fault of TCP or the protocol used to upload, but while messages propagate from one server to another, it looks like some are left out. They might also be stored on a news server which then experiences hardware problems that affects these parts, or some articles...
