why is Euro music so bad compared to American music?

One thing I will defend is that the state of modern British rock sucks a hard one. If you really want to compare the (indie) rock scene apples for apples, the US kills.

Pirates of the Caribbean - who else... ?

Too true! Johnny Depp is particularly lovely in POTC. The attitude is so much better then that wet rag Bloom!

    coming soon guide

Anyone one know of a good online coming soon movie guide anywhere, with up to date release dates on? The now defunct BBC one used to be very good, but the Empire online one I've been looking at is a bit of a mess. Cheers

Anyone got anything Positive to say about impending Battle Royale US remake?

Apparently it's never been released properly in the US, not even on DVD. Why can't they just released it?

Garth Brooks was, is, and always will be the greatest country singer

Off the top of my head I could name a bunch of guys better than him. Hank Williams SR & JR, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, etc..

    Movies from your childhood

I'm among the more (ahem) older on here - my fav film from childhood was "The Amazing Mr Blunden" - a really magical ghost story starring Lynne Frederick and Diana Dors. It was directed by Lionel Jeffries just after he shot "The Railway Children". I've got TAMB on DVD now - it's brilliant...

Aliens - Alien - This time its war.

What did you expect them to do? They were making a sequel to a film made 6(? maybe longer) years previously, it would have been impossible to have Newt in it as she'd been in stasis whereas the actress would have been about 19 by the time they got around to filming. They wouldn't have been...

    30 Days Of Night

Little more than the sum of its (body) parts really. The Thing + Salem's Lot + 28 Days Later + a smidgeon of Blade = 30 Days of Night. Gory and stylish-looking but it lacked tension and scares partly due to an indistinct timeline and plot holes. Should have given it to Neil Marshall.

Titanic was such a fantatsic movie...

Yeah. Pearl Harbor is the same sort of thing actually. Boy + girl, boy goes off to war, boy dies, girl meets new boy, old boy comes back from the dead and gets annoyed at new boy. Hardly anything about the actual Pearl Harbor event!

The best and worst film actor ever

Arnie has been in some pretty good films, notably Terminator and T2. Stallone was in Copland which is outstanding. I have to agree with you about Jean Claude van Damme though. Everything he's been in is total bobbins.

    Post a band name

Stfu. I did. We were talking about Nirvana introducing something into the world...yes Seattle is a part of this. I was talking about underground, non-mainstream. To the best of my knowledge (and I'm sure others will agree) something that isn't in the mainstream isn't flashed all over the t.v...

Lily Allen to star as Lesbian Vampire

Apparently it's a cameo role but the producers want her to take a larger part. We will need plenty of garlic if she takes a bigger role.
