It appears that you have AIM for Palm on the TX? Delete it (temporarily) and try to see if that's the program that might be causing the issue? Version 1.1 just came out in 2002 - so delete AIM. Most likely it's not compatible with the TX.

Haven't heard anything about Android 3.0 requiring 512 RAM. Google et al have done a good job of backwards compatibility (e.g. just got 2.2 on my old myTouch 3g). Still, on a tablet, with a bigger screen, I would think you'd want the extra memory and 256 may be kind of light.
