It`s sad that all some second rate metal guitarist has to do these days to be considered a hero is to croak.

I'm sorry but I just couldn't post just one line here: "Come gather 'round people Wherever you roam And admit that the waters Around you have grown And accept it that soon You'll be drenched to the bone. If your time to you Is worth savin' Then you better start swimmin' Or you'll sink like a...

as an avid jazz eater and fan of music myself i will be watching this thread with hungry eyes. awesome concept for a thread, and judging by other posts of yours i've seen i'm sure this thing will leave me impressed. keep it up dude.

really dude? that album totally and completely blew, All We Know is Falling was real good but Riot! was a total disappointment

Fair do's, that seems like a good plan. People always assume London is dear but you can get there for seriously cheap if you shop around and stuff. When I saw Pixies I got the coach for

Well yes, Rain Dogs is widely regarded as good, but Rolling Stone said that "The Heart of Saturday Night" was better, so while it may be streamlined (along taste) I don't think its in lockstep. Conversely, Bone Machine is usually championed by Inide BanRAB simply because its inaccessible. Then...

Why? because they're like just about every other classic rock band ever? they do the same album year in and year out? I dont get that. This place is funny at times. A huge band like AC/DC gets trashed and hated here, meanwhile, if you dont lick Radiohead, or Nirvana, or some other current...

you can do that with foobar too :D you can probably just use hyphenated genre tags (Jazz - Big Band), then when building your tree, use foobar's amazing scripting to split it into nodes. i'm guessing the $replace function could be used for this. might have to check on the foobar forums to be...

Because it was fun.

Hanging out with the right people and looking through artists on lastfm. It's not really all that hard to find good music these days, despite what people tell you about the current trenRAB in the music scene.

By far the most amusing music fans are the ones that aren't fans at all, who instead use music as an accessory to the image they're trying to cultivate, and I think this can be found in just about any genre.

Having Weezer and Bush on any Top 50 list destroys the credibility of said list IMO.

Posting this album cover never gets old , ever.

You people are obnoxious. Respect these mens' music, leave politics out of it. U2 have left their mark on the world, and were instrumental in making an alternative to hair metal and all that garbage. Without U2, there would be none of your precious Radiohead. Hell, alternative music may not have...

making mine this week - quite a few similarities (i can't think of anything better than hot chip off hand for instance this year...)

thats horrible news. One of the best to ever bless a mic.

I usually listen to older music (1920s to 1980s). I find it difficult and unrewarding to find anything I can really appreciate in the current music scene. I listen to most genres of music, so I'm quite open. However, when I take the time find something new, I'm usually disappointed and what I...
