Your favorite facial expressions (Image Warning)

Got a few from watching Tiny Toon Adventures: Night Ghoulery: Nice group shot of Buster, Babs, Plucky, and Hamton. Aaahh, zombies! Plucky as Freddy, Montana Max as J. Paul Getty(this guy), and Gogo as "the scary Soupy Sales".

    Series that aged well

Most of the dcau shows have held up well. 90's Xmen and Spiderman Mighty Max was amazing for a kids show Talespin was fun and light. Though I think you have be a fan of older films to appreciate it more

Help Me Decide: iPhone 4 Vs. Galaxy S Captivate

After reading your post it sounded like you were leaning towards the iPhone. I own the iPhone 4, and it's been the best phone that I've owned period. If gaming and multimedia is important, then nothing beats the iPhone IMO. If you have a chance I would go to a store and really spend some time...

    Shows that need a soundtrack

They weren't exactly 'full' so much as extended, but when the doll line was released, they came with cassette tapes of various Hologram/Misfit songs that were slightly longer than the t.v. versions, although they didn't add new lyrics so much as repeat the ones that were already there, so songs...

A fourth Seth macfarlane show announced

I got to wonder how this guy is able to make so many shows at once. Are they simple to make, like South Park?

    Regarding Christmas Episodes

    1. I like the Santa angle, it less religious for children since as a kid I was more aware of the man in red suit rather than the baby born in the manger. 2. It okay, since I do use Decemberween term in public. Beside if it also mish mash the other holidays into it, then it deserves to be called...

    New Animation style vs. Traditional

The question (as it's being posed here) isn't really accurate, since there wasn't one single drawing and animation style which was employed by every single animation studio from the dawn of the animation industry to the year 2000. The '30's "out-of-the-inkwell' style was different from the...

Whats With FOX & Sunday Nights?

I don't think it has anything to do with the writer's strike. That was last season. I think this is a case of FOX holding on to the new episodes for February.

    Underrated Animated Films

Over the Hedge. Probably the only CG Dreamworks movie that was honestly rather good, where the celebrity voice actors didn't feel tacked on, and didn't have any of the annoying features that I believed destroyed Shrek and Shark Tale (like massive product placement).

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Animated Series

I don't think he's heartless. Just confident in her abilities.

What was 'THE' show of your generation?

Yea...a good 7 years after the show had been on the air. The show was popular in `91 but not to the level it reached in later years. Which is kinda funny since the show actually got worse as it went along. Sort of. They made the Flintstones and then make a bunch copycats like Jetsons for...

    "Polar Express" Talkback

Color me surprised...this was actually a rather fun movie! Can't say all the animation agreed with me, but in the end the story won out and I thought it was a pretty fun use of my time. At the same time, I was amazed as to how closely it followed the book, but still added in its own story...

Should Kids Toons Be Allowed use Nazis When Appropriate?

What I mean is, they were still protayed as what they were. They didn't try to Hogan'sHeroesize them and make them comical. The were evil. Don't make a Nazi into a comical character, don't make them aliens, and don't delete them from history. They were there. They existed. Oh, so you're scare...

Infomercials to Replace Cartoons on FOX

I think, given all the talk about how The CW might not be around all that much longer, the affiliates are being asked to "take one for the team" and let the net generate some revenue.

South Park - "Medicinal Fried Chicken" - Talkback [3/31]

Does anyone else find the Randy plot to be funnier than the Cartman one so far (a surprise for me, since Randy usually meant crap in the last few episodes that involved him)? Also, Cartman's Pope comment is so wrong (in a funny way).

Why is it that Animation isn't taken seriously in the U.S.?

Why isn't animation in the USA taken seriously? For one, how many animated shows and films are actually... ummm... serious? Almost all are comedies, and moments of seriousness are few and far between. I think it has more to do with genre than anything else. Look at comics, some awesome books...
