Dont get a blackberry, you can get a really nice PocketPC or Smartphone. They are more powerful than a blackberry, and as student, have more features that will appeal to you. Pocketpc features a camera MP3 player, tons more and better games than a blackberry, and lots of productivity software...

just because the TV isn't HD doesn't mean you can't use component cables. are you sure that it doesn't have component? If it does, it will still make the picture look a helluva lot better.
