I have actually never used the data feature on my phone. The plans are a bit expensive and I'm never that far away from the computer anyways. Having wifi would be nice though since that allows me to avoid the data plans for the most part. 8125 and n80 have that but I dont know how good they are...

Definatley Ubuntu....dont see a reason to dual boot...if your used to windows and you dual boot...most likely you will use it as a crutch and never use ubuntu... the problem with that is...as someone point out earlier, your better off with 'anything but vista' OSX isnt bad either...BSD based...
