Jeez, and I never nominated him months ago because I was sure he wasn't going to get in :: (Not saying he will but has started well)

ahh, so by your logic britney spears will be a major influence on rock banRAB to come. dear god that will be a strange and twisted brand of music.....

I got As the Roots Undo recently as well. Incredibly good.

Interestingly enough, I went to Moving Pictures on Spotify just before I read that! It's a sign. I doubt I'll ever really like a prog rock band, but I'll definitely give Rush a chance.

downtempo, dubstep, hip-hop (had taken a step away from it for like a year, but discovering a lot of great stuff/old stuff I used to listen to), deep house, d'n'b, breakbeat, minimal techno, garage, "wonky" as they call it - it's more like experimental/leftfield hip hop

Roman Candle-Elliott Smith. Still my favorite of his. I suppose I just prefer his lo-fi work, which would explain why I could care the least for for Figure 8.

easily my favorite elliott smith album...the only way i can describe this album is raw heartbreaking emotion. amazing songwriting distilled to mostly an acoustic guitar...it amazes me everytime i listen to it.

Boobs, you wanna get a new battle up?

Strange. I think the song-writing is great, fantastic melodies. "Blues From A Gun" is a brilliant song.

I agree. Music is something I want to listen to for x amount of time, it's not a burden.

At this minute in time, Steely Dan, in particular the Aja album.

No ,not really more so because I was the same way at your age. But to call an album that has been called one of the best of 2007 medicore is just nonsense.
