What comes to my mind is characters from the original G.I.Joe and Transformers cartoons. As the new characters came in to promote their toys, you didn't see as much of the first wave of characters.

Yep, it looks lke it has potential to become a gag.;) I actually loved this opening, because I was one of the people that is getting sick of the old intro. The couch gag made me laugh hard. Usually I don't like long jokes, that one worked for me!

Pretty much any T-Mo to go or Cingular/AT&T prepay will let you use any phone that takes a SIM. You could purchase an unlocked GSM phone, and use it with your prepay SIM. There are a ton available, most will do what you want, minus the wifi.

Andy - My eyes are not what they used to be as well. Did you ever find a suitable phone? Some phones do have large letters on the internal screen, but on a flip the outside incoming numbers are too tiny to identify caller. So much for having caller ID. Thanks, t7

I don't see the need for one. I can carry my phone and iPod in my pockets thank you very much. And if you need to access the internet recreationaly that badly when you're away from home I think you have a bit of a problem.
