I saw a few whole episodes and while it wasn't a bad dub, the ad-libbing they did got a bit stale after a while. They would have had to start dubbing the series straight once the series started to hit its stride much later on.

Uh GWOtaku, sorry to burst everyone's parade but if the difference between 1.01 and 1.11 is the same in English as the japanese versions, it's a SERIOUS business. You literally cannot see even the lips in the last 30 min of the movie in 1.01. And I should know.
