I agree it is debatable depending on the genre in my experience most of my favourite songs are from the 90's :)

That's probably my 3rd favourite Cure album. There's such a great variety of musical styles and mooRAB on that album yet it all fits so nicely together. The stereo bass on 'Sinking' sounRAB so depressing yet awesome.

Dosen't make him a horrible singer. He's not, and even so. I think if a band is good enough, it makes an otherwise lousy singer passable, it's all about style and chemestry. Coyne fits with the Lips, and Kiedis fits with the Chili's. Lets focus on singers we can all agree on, without picking...

A particular band does not need to stand the 'test of time' in terms of their magnitude of popularity to be considered 'good' musicians. Marketability is rather irrelevant, at least if we are appreciating music here (not doing an economic profit analysis). Judging an entire sector of music...
