I doubt it, i saw the rerelease in the theatres just a few years ago on the biggest screen in the multiplex and the film looked decent enough.

We sell out shows when a certain percentage of seats are sold. There can be anything from 30-6 seats left in a sold out show, depending on the screen size. The reason being by that stage there are generaly only single seats left, and most people want to sit together. Even at the sold out stage...
