A medley of songs that don't sound like the Doors is supposed to support your point somehow?

I think it just a matter of opinion, personally I like MC5 more than The Stooges. Another lesser known band from that era that has some grounding in Proto-Punk (possibly an influence to those 3 you mentioned) is The Flamin' Groovies (Terrible name, great band), which I also like more than The...

right. at least they'll get a chance to get renominated hopefully.

I think KC, PF and Radiohead will be the Prog reppers.

Soundwaves is a good one too. Soundwaves and Cactus are pretty much the only two stores around now if you want a decent selection of music. There was Warehouse Music on Westheimer but they closed it. :( I cried a little that day... Looks like Cactus is somewhere around Richmond and Shepherd...

Cool write up on Elvis Costello. My favorite song on that particular album is "Miracle Man" which seems to go unnoticed when people talk about My Aim Is True...

For my band I would have to say...uhhh: Green Day Nile Pink Floyd Metallica More things I can't think of....

23 views and no replies? you guys make me sick.

What did Madonna influence? Really? Britney Spears? I'm growing so tired of these boring 80s pop albums being hyped as influential when in reality all they did was spawn the 90s boy band and girl singer phenomenon. And the criteria is a corabination of best, most liked, most talented, etc. You...
