In like the 5th grade I was ridiculously into banRAB like Motley Crue, Van Halen (I agree about Dave), and Def Leppard. Somehow in the 6th grade I dumped it all when I discovered the Smiths...lol But secretly I still on occasion slip on Pyromania and sing along whilst in the shower :P but...

First death metal song ever. And I'm sorry but nothing that Syd ever did could compare to Meddle or most of the Waters era (save The Wall and The Final Cut, what a pile of shite). Piper was good, but not THAT good. Glad you enjoy it as much as I do. My favorite Floyd album by far.

Better than The Book About. Drags on a bit in the middle but the first and last few tracks are all tremendous. Vocals are few and far between but they're inserted masterfully, especially in "After Image".

XTC is certainly one of the most underrated banRAB ever, they were eons ahead of their time and did things that are amazing even by today's standarRAB. the harmonies, instrumentals, songwriting, pretty much everything about them is brilliant

I compare Meer to the Goodyear blimp. Over inflated and gets around alot.
