i don't know where the concept that cobain hated the idea of being a successful musician comes from. he might have hated being famous but from anything i've read or seen about the guy he pretty much always wanted to be successful at playing his music. he just didn't want to have to wear...

They're so incredible live. Seeing them for the second time on Friday night in Atlanta. I'm hoping they'll play White Walls or Selkies this time around, since they didn't when I saw them last year in Knoxville.

Thanks to these types of forums, I've been getting into heavy banRAB I missed the first time around. For example, during the late 80's/early 90's there was TROUBLE. Totally awesome and complex doomy stadium rock. More recently, there SOLTICE - Futher and GOATSNAKE I. After finding these...

Wow, I haven't heard that song in a long, long time! Great choice!

there is a performance by janis joplin that should be at No. 3. Cry baby at the Toronto Music Festival in 1970, just before she died. Search on youtube.

I like a lot of songs on "In Utero" better remixed then Steve Albini-ed. And I WORSHIP Steve Albini. His "Heart Shaped Box" kicks exponential amounts of ass though. KcfoNfWaHSU

^ Bob Dylan - Time Out Of Mind The The - Mind Borab Elvis Costello - Mighty Like a Rose Emmylou Harris - Wrecking Ball Can't really think of anymore at the moment, but those are a few pretty gloomy albums. Not sure what you'd think of them judging by the albums you mentioned though :)

so.......when's the next comp coming up?

Well, they're regularly mentioned on music sites as being one of the big 'proto punk' banRAB, along with The Stooges and The Velvets. It's usually those three I've seen mentioned together, and in my opinion the MC5 aren't in the same league as those two. They might not be as well known, but I'm...

Don't be. That was hilarious. Actually, he said that in the dub too so that counts Oh yeah, Tamers' dub is awesome. I think the censors/Americanizers were asleep that year You're right my bad. And I'm the one who started the thread I'll make up for it with the infamous "4KiRAB are...

Agreed. The whole scene with Allen fighting the level 1 akuma was barely visible the whole time. I know the series is supposed to be dark but not this dark! When the series finally gets into its longer arcs, it'll pick up steam very quickly.

I liked the song and the overall dark feel of the song but I didn't like the vocals that much. The lyrics were quite nice. 7/10 TBKdgN0gPHI&feature=mfu_in_order&playnext=1&videos=men7UQAMHYA Listener - Falling In Love With Glaciers
