    The Simpsons - "Bart Gets A Z" - Talkback [10/4]

It doesn't really work the same way there, because That '70s Show was made 20 years after the decade. Even Happy Days went thru the same thing because it was a show done after the period, but about the period. When it's a show done about the period, but not during, it usually works better...

What do you believe is the greatest animated show of all time?

I guess what pursues me to call T & J the greatest animated show of all time is that it's so timeless. Yes, the animation flucuates and some of the shorts/episodes aren't as good as others but no matter how many times you see it, even if it's been years, you can still remember them and enjoy...

What do you prefer seeing, 2D or 3D animation and why ?

I'm gonna say the right medium for the right story and essentially give a non-answer. XD For example, How To Train Your Dragon was PERFECT as CG - it would work fine as 2D but, the CG just gave it so much more oomph. Kung Fu Panda, on the other hand... although I liked the movie, the 2D bits...

How High School Musical Has Affected Animation TALKBACK

As much as I hate these shows Disney has put together, I will say I do have a certain respect for them. It isn't my cup of tea, sure. I don't like the writing, and the situations, and I don't think they're too clever. But the fans do. I'm just disappointed we live in an industry that these...

Family Guy - "Brian Writes a Bestseller" - Talkback [11/21]

OK everybody let's face it. The main point of this episode was fanservice for the Brian-haters. It seems like a lot of Brian-haters liked it while a Brian-fan like me didn't like it that much. See, the main problem I see with Brian now is that the fandom is so split over him. They can't make...

What Have You Been Watching Lately?

I've been watching a lot of Tom and Jerry which after a while becomes really funny due to the senseless violence, I mean seriously, that show is rediculously violent.

Cartoon moments: Getting crap past the radar

Dad: "Ease up, Norb. I heard you slapping before you left home. Used to do it in the bathtub all the time." Norbert: "I was just washing my tail, I swear!" The Angry Beavers, "Slap Happy" - one more reason why I love that show

    "Dark" Simpsons opening creates controversy

I fully support the oppression of fake animals that do not exist such as unicorns in animated show openings. I love my DVD's even more knowing that their holes were poked in by unhappy and enslaved unicorns. When everything goes digital, I will demand magical glue be made from the essence of...

Network reluctance to strong story continuity/ongoing arcs.

Granted, not every show needs continuity, but on the grounds that children are too dumb to grasp it? The Harry Potter series certainly wouldn't win awards in simplicity, yet the kiddies have no qualms about enjoying it. So I think it proves that the young ones can handle more than the suits...
