I must say I've thoroughly enjoyed this thread. I actually 'appreciate' most of the films that have been named, even if I haven't enjoyed them. Revellian....I agree with you and Eraserhead's points about American Beauty. This was a brilliant film, but uncomfortable to watch in so many levels...

I believe the Dawn of the Dead broadcast within Moviedrome was the pointless censored version that was a joke. Its been shown several times uncut since then. Back in the early 80's the thought that BBC2 would show Dawn of the Dead uncut at any point in the future would have been met with laughter
